Scene - 1.1 (Health & Safety)

What accidents could happen at these venues while people are working or while audience are visiting? Some boxes are already filled in for you but you will get more marks if you replace them with your own situations.

Tuck cables away neatly or keep that area clear from others.

Tidy the props and put them in one place.

DANCE STUDIO

Wet floor

Someone could slip.

Put a sign saying wet floor.

MUSEUM OF CHILDHOOD

Visitors

Tight entrance

Someone could get hurt.

Make sure there is a cue in front of the door before people entering.

STRATFORD PICTUREHOUSE (cinema)

Audience entering the cinema while the film is already on.

Darkness

Someone could trip in the dark.

To have foot lights on the stairs so people that come late they can go and find their seats.

Setting up film

Loose cables

Someone could trip and hurt themselves.

Make sure there is no loose cables left where someone can trip.

STRATFORD CIRCUS

Audience to be seated.

Too much people are going into the same row of seats.

Someone could get hurt.

To cue up before the audience sit on there seats.

Too many people in the way

The artwork might get damaged.

You should put your artwork up when there is less people. That way the artwork won’t get damaged.

VOICE OF AFRICA RADIO

Doing a live broadcast outdoors.

Interviewing people in the streets.

Could get hit by a car

Stay on one side of the streets to find some people that walk past you.
